Artley CChris Artley was born in 1963 in Leeds, England and studied Music at Bristol and Auckland Universities respectively. He has spent 25 years teaching music in schools in the United Kingdom and New Zealand, where he is now resident and teaches at King’s College, Auckland. He has won six prestigious international composing competitions, had five choral pieces published by Austrian publisher Helbling Verlag and is a fully registered composer with SOUNZ. His pieces have received glowing praise from renowned conductors including Brian Kay (former member of The King’s Singers), Ebbe Munk (Director of the Royal Chapel Choir of Denmark) and Terence Maskell (Director of The Graduate Choir of New Zealand).
